Scripture: Psalm 53:1–3, 6 (NASB)
1 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God,”
They are corrupt, and have committed abominable injustice;
There is no one who does good.
2 God has looked down from heaven upon the sons of mankind
To see if there is anyone who understands,
Who seeks after God.
3 Every one of them has turned aside; together they have become corrupt;
There is no one who does good, not even one.
6 Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion!
When God restores the fortunes of His people,
May Jacob rejoice, may Israel be glad.

Devotional: God Looks for the Faithful
Psalm 53 reminds us of a sobering truth: apart from God, the human heart drifts toward sin and foolishness. The psalmist describes a world that has forgotten God, where injustice and corruption are common.
But in verse 2, there’s a beautiful image:
“God has looked down from heaven… to see if there is anyone who seeks after Him.”
This tells us something important: God notices those who seek Him. Even when the world turns away, God is still searching for the faithful—those who love Him, trust Him, and walk in His ways.
Though this psalm highlights the brokenness of the world, it ends with hope:
“Oh, that salvation would come from Zion!”
And we know now—that salvation has come through Jesus Christ. He is the answer to the corruption of the world and the hope for all who believe.

Encouragement for Today:
Let your life reflect the hope and salvation you have in Christ. Be an example of His love today—in how you speak, serve, forgive, and show kindness. In a world that often forgets God, you can remind people of who He is just by how you live.
⸻
Prayer:
Lord, in a world that often turns from You, help me to seek You daily. Make my life a reflection of Your love, truth, and grace. Let others see Jesus through me today. In His name I pray, Amen.
Now go and be a light—live in a way that reminds others of the God who sees, saves, and loves.
