Scripture: Psalm 55:1–2, 16–18, 22 (NASB)
1 Listen to my prayer, God,
And do not hide Yourself from my pleading.
2 Give Your attention to me and answer me;
I am restless in my complaint and severely distracted,
16 As for me, I shall call upon God,
And the Lord will save me.
17 Evening and morning and at noon, I will complain and moan,
And He will hear my voice.
18 He will redeem my soul in peace from the battle which is against me,
For they are many who are aggressive toward me.
22 Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you;
He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.

Devotional: Cast Your Burden on the Lord
In Psalm 55, David pours out his heart in distress, betrayal, and anxiety. He’s overwhelmed—but he doesn’t carry it alone. He writes in verse 22:
“Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you.”
This is a powerful invitation. God doesn’t ask us to carry our pain silently or bear our stress alone. He calls us to cast it—to throw it—onto Him, trusting that He will hold us up.
David reminds us that God hears, God saves, and God sustains. Whether it’s morning, noon, or night—God is listening. He’s not far. And He will give you peace in the middle of the battle.

Encouragement for Today:
Whatever you’re carrying today—give it to the Lord. Don’t wait, don’t hold it in. He is your sustainer, your peace, and your refuge.
And as Sunday approaches, make plans now to be in the Lord’s house. Church is more than a service—it’s a place to lay down your burdens, hear from God, and be encouraged by others. Don’t miss what God wants to do in you this Sunday!

Prayer:
Lord, You see the burdens I carry. Help me to cast them onto You and trust that You will sustain me. Remind me that I am never alone. Prepare my heart now for worship this Sunday and draw me closer to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Now go and walk in peace—and make it a priority to meet with the Lord and His people this Sunday!

Amen, so blessed to be a part of the winning side. The Lord is our Sheppard no doubt. Without Him I am a lost soul with a desire only to follow what is not righteous in His eyes. Great devotional..
