Scripture: Psalm 58:1–2, 10–11 (NASB)
1 Do you indeed speak righteousness, you gods?
Do you judge fairly, you sons of mankind?
2 No, in heart you practice injustice;
On earth you clear a way for the violence of your hands.
10 The righteous will rejoice when he sees vengeance;
He will wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
11 And people will say,
“There certainly is a reward for the righteous;
There certainly is a God who judges on the earth!”

Devotional: God Sees, and God Will Judge
Psalm 58 is a strong and honest cry for justice. David observes leaders who abuse power and hearts filled with corruption. But instead of taking vengeance into his own hands, he turns to God, knowing that the Judge of all the earth will do what is right.
Though the words may sound harsh, the heart of this psalm is rooted in hope:
“There certainly is a reward for the righteous; there certainly is a God who judges on the earth.”
In a world that often feels unfair, we can find peace in knowing that God sees everything clearly, and His justice will not fail. We don’t have to carry the burden of setting everything right—He will.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You that You see every injustice and that Your judgment is perfect and true. Help me live righteously today and be an example of Your love in a world that needs Your light. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
